Carve a Pumpkin Beginner Guide
Carve a Pumpkin runs on one tight loop: leap over a biome wall, grab an egg from a nest, sprint it back to your Safe Zone before a guardian beast catches you, then hatch it into a pet that earns cash every second.

Quick answer: Steal eggs, hatch them for passive cash, spend that cash on Jump Power at the Upgrades Station to clear taller walls, and rebirth once you hit each Jump Power threshold to raise your permanent cash multiplier.
Your First Egg Run
- Start in the Safe Zone. Follow the "Steal your first Egg!" prompt into the Forest biome.
- Jump the wall. The Forest wall is short enough to clear at starting jump height.
- Grab an egg. Walk into an egg in a nest — you'll see "You stole an EGG! Get to the SAFE ZONE!"
- Run back. Guardian beasts chase you while you hold the egg. Cross the Safe Zone line for "EGG secured!"
- Hatch it. Place the egg in your pen, wait for "READY!", and get "Animal placed in your enclosure!"
What to Buy First
- Jump Power. The first +1 upgrade costs $133 at the Upgrades Station. This is your #1 priority — it gates every new biome.
- Pet Capacity. Only equipped pets earn cash. More slots = more income.
- Don't hoard cash. Reinvest immediately into Jump Power and capacity.
Note: Carve a Pumpkin has no code redemption system. Any site listing "working codes" is guessing — we check daily and will update if that changes.
Common Beginner Mistakes
| Mistake | Why It Hurts | Do This Instead |
|---|---|---|
| Buying trails before Jump Power | Speed doesn't help if you can't clear the wall | Max Jump Power for your current biome first |
| Keeping weak pets equipped | Low $/s drags down income | Use "Equip Best" after every hatch |
| Rebirthing too early | Lose all progress for a small multiplier | Wait until you hit the Jump Power threshold (75 for first rebirth) |
| Ignoring the Pet Index | Miss free discovery bonuses | Claim Index rewards — they scale from $100 to millions |
FAQ — Beginner
How do I know my egg steal worked?
Watch for these messages: "You stole an EGG!" (pickup) → "EGG secured!" (safe zone) → "EGG placed!" (pen) → "READY!" (hatch done).
What should I upgrade first?
Jump Power. It gates biome progression — without enough jump, you physically cannot reach better eggs.
